From the early days of rack mount studio effects, very few sounds are as distinct or legendary as chorus. Used heavily through the 80’s, bands such as The Smiths, Crowded House and The Police used this beautiful effect to add a warm dimensional shimmer to their guitar tone. MXR have been world renowned for their chorus sounds from the very beginning and their M234 Analog Chorus continues this legacy as one of the most popular chorus pedals.

I’ve always been a huge fan of chorus and it’s been a staple on my board for years. The ability to add that sparkle and movement to your sound is so uncanny and I love the different application the effect can have. After owning and trying multiple chorus pedals through the years, the M234 has remained on my board the longest and no matter what else I may use, I always come back to the MXR for its amazing tonal diversity.

On its modest control layout you will find the usual rate, depth and level controls but this is where things get interesting. Above these standard controls are two ‘high’ and ‘low’ filters, enabling you to fine tune and tailor the bass, middle and treble sounds of the chorus to taste. This is an incredibly useful and functional addition to a very affordable pedal, capable of taking you from soft subtle chorus shimmers all the way to that distinct faux leslie speaker sound.

Currently in stock, so if you want to add some three dimension to your sound come in and try one out.
