Truetone One Spot Pro CS12 Power Supply

Ever since I first started using pedals, I battled with the constant issue of powering them correctly. Whether you’re just using a couple of low noise pedals or if you utilise a full blown stereo soundscaping rig, it’s crucial to run your effects as clean and noise free as possible to ensure optimum sound quality. This was always hard to achieve before the days of dedicated power supplies for effects pedals from brands such as Voodoo Lab, Custom Audio and TRex, saving you the hassle of running individual wall wart power supplies to each pedal. While a daisy chain may be a viable option for playing at low volumes, it’s only when you start to crank the volume that you hear all the imperfections they can bring to your tone. Ground loop hum, noise floors and sometimes piercing high end hiss which can really effect your overall sound.

The One Spot Pro CS12 is a lightweight and fully isolated switching power supply with literally endless power options for your effects. With twelve individual and completely isolated power outputs (meaning each output runs independently and does not share a power path) this unit is among the most powerful on the market today. As someone who uses a combination of analog and digital pedals I’ve always struggled to find a power supply that can handle both until I came across the CS12. It comes equipped with two 500ma outputs, perfect for running high voltage pedals such as Strymon and Eventide. Two 250ma outputs for powering smaller Strymon and Line 6 units. Two independent 18v 200ma outputs (perfect for compressors and overdrives) as well as a whopping five 200ma outputs switchable from 9 to 12 volts. The possibilities with this power supply are endless and I would recommend it to anybody looking to expand their pedal board without having to buy multiple units. Well worth a look!
