The Strymon Flint Tremolo and Reverb pedal has quickly become an industry standard in the world of guitar effects. Released in 2011, the Flint is capable of delivering everything from soft subtle tremolo lines to swampy ethereal combinations of both effects. In the first tremolo position (top) you will find a sound reminiscent of a classic univibe with a pronounced high end cut and more of a pulsating tone. In position number 2 (middle) you can find the classic tube style tremolo, perfect for lovers of a certain American black face amp. In position number 3 (bottom) you will hear the distinctly choppy photo cell tremolo. This voicing has a very unique square wave form, perfect for fans of ambient guitar swells.
The reverb section of this unit is unmatched by any other multi voiced reverb pedal on the market and will take you from classic Spring type reverbs found in the “60’s” setting, bright and pronounced plate style verbs in the “70’s” setting and luscious ambient multi delay lines in the “80’s” rack mount hall reverb algorithm for those Gilmour esque “shine on” tones. Engineered with Strymon’s signature Shark DSP processors, each algorithm can be combined to achieve a highly tweakable sound with only your imagination as the limit.
Whether it’s soft and subdued reverb and tremolo combinations you’re looking for or those huge, ambient ethereal tones. Look no further than the Strymon Flint.
